Hi! My name’s Josh and I’m a Yorkshire-based amateur food blogger and travel enthusiast.
After graduating and picking up my life to live in the wonderful city Madrid, and that’s where Conquest for Coffee was born. I’ve now firmly set foot back in sunny Yorkshire to see what British coffee has to offer. From Leeds down to London, and Sheffield in between. Having the opportunity to travel around has opened my eyes to a whole new culture and has allowed me to develop a love for exploring independent cafes and coffee shops around the world. This blog is my way of sharing my experiences and recommendations with fellow coffee lovers.
My Inspiration
As a student, I studied Law and Spanish, with the latter part taking me out of the small Welsh university town in which I studied. I was able to study during my year abroad in Madrid, and I found such amazing places! I heard about all these places through other international friends studying here, and I just had to go too. From that moment on, I made it my mission to seek out and explore new coffee spots wherever I went.
Whether you’re a coffee enthusiast, a foodie, or simply someone who wants to explore new places, I hope that my blog will inspire you to embark on your own conquest for coffee. On that note, grab a cup of your favourite brew, and let’s go on a journey together!
I love that there are always little corners of the world that are hidden, and it’s great to be able to show them.
